The Matter of Britain

The legends of Arthur, his court, and the island of Britain after Rome. Knights ride out on quests that test them more than their enemies, enchantment is never free, and every story bends toward Camlann. Write the tales the old romances left out, or the ones they only hinted at.

Grounded in medieval and Victorian sources that are free for anyone to use: Geoffrey of Monmouth, the Welsh tales, Chretien de Troyes, Malory's Le Morte d'Arthur, and Tennyson. Modern film and television versions are not part of this canon.
