After the Grail, the Round Table has seats with no one in them. Write the story of a knight chosen to fill one: how the choosing is done, what the empty seat does to the person put in it, and what the court needs from them that they may not be able to give. A seat at that table has always been half honour and half debt.
What would contradict the canon
- Arthur is still king and Camelot still stands. This is before Camlann.
- The Siege Perilous stays empty; it is not the seat in question.
- No Grail sequel: the quest is over and its survivors do not go back.
