Kingsport
An ancient fog-bound seaport south of Arkham, where old festivals are kept beneath the hill.
Kingsport is an old seaport on the Massachusetts coast, a town of steep lanes, crowded colonial houses, and a harbor usually buried in sea fog. Above it rise great cliffs, and on the highest of them stands a strange grey house that no one in town admits to visiting.
The town is proud of its antiquity. Some of its oldest families still keep a midwinter festival older than Christianity, and visitors who are invited to it are led down beneath the hill by a way that is not on any map.
Artists love Kingsport for its fog and its roofs. The fishermen love it less, and several of them will not sail on the night of certain tides.
